Amanda Lew Kee is a Chinese Canadian casual luxury designer inspired by the merge of her Asian culture and North American lifestyle. Working with mixed materials, she has designed products ranging from clothing to footwear, utilitarian homeware, leather goods, wearable tech and fine jewelry. Lew Kee recieved a Bachelor of Design (Fashion Design) at Ryerson University where she was scoutted by the FDCC to show 5 consecutive seasons at Toronto Fashion Week and later by Gen Art to show as a Fresh Face at New York Fashion Week. During this time Lew Kee distinguished her work with hints of her signature colour, powder blue.
Over Lew Kee's career her creative design, direction, and image has been curated by North American and Asian companies such as HBO, Holt Renfrew, Roots Canada, Roots Taiwan, Thompson Hotel, East Room, MAC Cosmetics, the Drake General Store and most recently King Fook.
Publications such as WWD, Huffington Post, National Post, Globe & Mail, Toronto Star, Nylon Magazine, Vogue Taiwan, Teen Vogue, i-D Magazine, Flare Magazine, Fashion Magazine, Hello Canada, Bay Street Bull, E-Talk, and Fashion Television have recognized Amanda Lew Kee as a Canadian designer of influence.
Aside from designing, Lew Kee enjoys writing design and culture articles as a contributor to Bay Street Bull Magazine.
